Taliban In Afghanistan
Episode #1247 | 27 min.
As the Trump administration considers withdrawing the last remaining troops from America's longest war in Afghanistan, President Trump this month restarted stalled peace talks with the Taliban. But while the Taliban is eyeing a political presence in Afghanistan's government, and its diplomatic efforts have helped it leaders gain legitimacy on the world stage, getting any peace deal's approval from the country's multitude of ethnic groups, like the Tajiks, will be another challenge. Special correspondent Jane Ferguson reports from the remote region of Panjshir Valley in the heart of the Tajik community's resistance.
